Nutty Chocolate Clusters

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mixed nuts (e.g., almonds, peanuts, cashews, pecans — roasted and unsalted)

  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (you can also use milk chocolate or white chocolate)

  • 1 tsp coconut oil or butter (optional, for smoother melting)

  • A pinch of sea salt (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare a baking sheet:
Line a tray with parchment or wax paper.

  2. Melt the chocolate:

    • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil.

    • Heat in 20–30 second bursts, stirring between each until smooth and fully melted.

    • (Alternatively, melt over a double boiler on the stove.)

  3. Mix in the nuts:
Add the nuts to the melted chocolate and stir until evenly coated.

  4. Form clusters:
Drop spoonfuls of the chocolate-nut mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.

  5. Optional — add a touch of flair:
Sprinkle with sea salt, shredded coconut, or a drizzle of white chocolate for a fancy look.

  6. Chill:
Refrigerate for about 20–30 minutes, or until firm.

  7. Enjoy or store:
Keep in an airtight container at room temperature (if cool) or in the fridge for longer freshness.

🔄 Variations:

  • Add dried fruit: Try raisins, cranberries, or chopped apricots.

  • Go extra crunchy: Add puffed rice or granola.

  • Holiday twist: Use white chocolate and add crushed peppermint.
