Carnivore Monte Cristo

Ingredients:
- 2 slices of deli ham (or any preferred cooked ham)
- 2 slices of deli turkey or chicken (optional, depending on your preferences)
- 2 slices of cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or any other cheese of your choice)
- 2 large eggs
- Butter (for frying)
- Garlic powder (optional)
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- Optional: Dijon mustard (for spreading, if you want to add a little flavor, but keep it minimal)
Instructions:
-
Prepare the filling: Lay one slice of ham on a plate, then add a slice of turkey (or chicken) on top. Place your cheese slices over the meat, then top with another slice of ham and turkey.
-
Beat the eggs: Crack the eggs into a bowl, and whisk them until fully combined. Season with a pinch of salt, pepper, and a little garlic powder (optional).
-
Fry the sandwich: Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat and add a generous amount of butter. Once the pan is hot, dip the meat and cheese stack into the beaten egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
-
Cook the sandwich: Place the egg-coated meat stack in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. You may need to add more butter to the pan as you cook.
-
Serve: Once cooked, remove from the skillet and serve hot. You can optionally add a dollop of mustard or more seasonings to taste.
This Carnivore Monte Cristo is a high-protein, meat-packed alternative to the traditional sandwich. The egg helps bind the meats and cheese together, and the result is a crispy, savory “sandwich” without any bread or carbs!
