Instructions

  1. Preheat a cast-iron skillet or stainless steel pan over medium heat.

  2. Form patties: Divide ground beef into 3–4 equal portions. Gently shape into patties (do not overwork the meat).

  3. Season both sides evenly with salt.

  4. Cook patties for 3–5 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness.

  5. Rest for 2–3 minutes before serving to retain juices.
